Lake Skadar is a lake on the border of Montenegro and Albania. With a surface area of at least 368 km², it is the largest lake in Southern Europe. On the Montenegrin side, the lake has been part of the Skadarsko Jezero National Park since 1983, which is home to 270 species of birds. Among them are some of the last pelicans in Europe.
